Study Phase for Reconstruction of Historical Museum Completed

The mosaic of the facade of the National Historical Museum for years has shown many problems, as the fall of its parts has been dangerous for passers-by. Since May, work has begun on its restoration, where the study phase has already been completed.

Agron Islami admits major damage to the structure and pieces of the mosaic. 13 figures presented in several groupings were present. The left is the group of Illyrian warriors, warlords and archers and Albanians of the anti-Ottoman war.

Then, the National Renaissance is represented with two figures and the victorious partisan. The two symbolic figures, the worker and the peasant are in the center of the surface, while on the right 5 figures symbolize the National Liberation War.

The mosaic of the facade of the National Historical Museum is one of the sites of our cultural heritage that is being restored by the Eu4Culture program worth ALL 80 179 450.
