Tear Gas in Parliament, LVV MPs Declared Innocent
The Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) MPs have been declared innocent from the court of Prishtina, regarding the case of the tear gas in the Parliament of Kosovo.
The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, MP Pal Lekaj and former MPs Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Besa Baftiu, appeared this Wednesday in front of the Basic Court in Prishtina.
The LVV MPs have been declared not guilty. They were being tried for the case of throwing tear gas at the premises of the Parliament of Kosovo in 2016.
The indictment filed on April 8, 2016 states that on February 19, 2016, around 12:20, in the lobby of the Parliament of Kosovo, the accused were found with a tear gas canister, which they were holding without authorization.
We recall that Vetëvendosje Movement MPs threw tear gas at the session when it was expected to vote on the ratification of the Border Demarcation Agreement with Montenegro.
