Thessaloniki: 24-year-old Albanian Who Was Shot after a Chase Is a Notorious Criminal
A bloody incident occurred late Wednesday afternoon in Thessaloniki, with a 24-year-old motorcyclist being transported seriously injured to the AHEPA hospital after being shot in the abdomen.
According to what has been learned, the perpetrator chased the Albanian national, Renaldo Pecaku 24-year-old on the Egnatia Motorway with his motorcycle and shot him shortly before they reached the Oreokastro toll booth. The victim managed to continue to the toll booth, where he collapsed. Information indicates that the 24-year-old is marked and has been of concern to the Authorities for offenses.
An EKAB ambulance and two rapid response vehicles rushed to the scene, providing the injured man with first aid. Later, an EKAB Mobile Unit arrived, which picked up the 24-year-old to transport him to AHEPA.
According to information, the victim has a criminal record and has served a prison sentence for theft.
