Three Arrested for Kidnapping of 18-Year-Old Girl in Kosovo
Kosovo Police has announced that for the kidnapping of an 18-year-old girl yesterday, H.M., 20 years old, and G.B., 21 years old, were arrested, while later it was discovered that she was the victim of violation, a charge for which the suspect B.M., 34 years old was arrested.
In the evening hours of August 12, 2022, in Mitrovica, two people, H.M and G.B, allegedly kidnapped an 18-year-old girl, forced her into a car and abused her in various ways, causing her bodily harm.
On her part, the victim accepted medical treatment, while in the framework of the investigations, the police managed to discover that the victim was violated by the suspect B.M, 34 years old, months ago.
Following interrogation, the three suspects were detained for 48 hours by decision of the prosecutor of the case, the local media reported based on police information.
"As a result of intensive investigations during today, the investigators of the Regional Investigation Sector in South Mitrovica have identified and arrested three suspects, citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, for the criminal offenses of 'Kidnapping' and 'Violation'.
H. M., 20 years old, and G. B., 21 years old, were arrested for the crime of kidnapping. Their arrest was made based on reasonable suspicions and evidence provided, that in the evening hours of August 12, 2022, in Mitrovica, the two suspects kidnapped the 18-year-old female/Kosovar victim, who they forcibly put in car, in which case violence was exerted against her in various forms, causing bodily injuries. The victim was offered the necessary medical treatment.
In the framework of the investigations so far, the police investigators, based on the additional statement of the victim, have managed to discover that the victim of the kidnapping case months ago was the victim of violation by the suspect B.M., 34 years old, a crime that was not reported by victim.
Regarding the criminal acts, a series of operational and investigative actions were undertaken, including raids in two locations where material evidence related to the criminal acts was found.
Based on reasonable suspicion and the evidence provided, the two suspects H. M. and G. B., 21, are being investigated for the criminal offense of 'Kidnapping', while the suspect B.M., 34 years old, is being investigated for the criminal offense of 'Violation'.
After interrogation, the three suspects were ordered to be detained for 48 hours by the decision of the prosecutor of the case", said Kosovo's police.
