A newborn baby passed away a few minutes after midnight this Wednesday in Tirana. The baby was in the maternity ward and his health has deteriorated.

The Prosecution was immediately set in motion and the investigative group is continuing its work to determine the cause of death and document the event.

The death of the infant in Tirana was reported to Commissariat No. 1 by the father. He claims that the medical team did not give proper care to the baby.

Preliminary: On 28.07.2021, around 00:40, in the maternity ward, a newborn baby is suspected to have died as a result of deteriorating health. The investigative team continues to work with actions to determine the cause of death and complete documentation of the event.

The materials were forwarded to the Tirana Judicial District Prosecutor's Office for further action.
