Starting from this Saturday (October 24) the movement of vehicles at the Eagle Roundabout (Shehi Shqiponja) near Astir in Tirana, will be banned.

Due to construction going on near the site for the New Ring Road, the roundabout will be closed for several months.

At a joint conference between Albanian Road Authority and the State Police, it was announced that the movement will be possible only for ambulances, while drivers are required to choose other road axes.

Traffic in Tirana has already been a problem while the roundabout's closure for several months is expected to bring more traffic chaos to the city.

The situation is learned to be temporary, while the construction is said to last 3 or 4 months.
