Bolstered by its recent achievements, TIA is poised for further expansion and innovation. Currently undergoing an expansion phase, TIA is gearing up to offer transoceanic flights, opening new avenues for global connectivity and positioning itself as a key player in the international aviation market.
Furthermore, Kastrati Group’s continuous investments in the airport, amounting to 85% of the total sum agreed upon until 2040, showcase their unwavering commitment to enhancing infrastructure and services beyond initial expectations. This proactive approach underscores their dedication to surpassing the agreed-upon standards and ensuring that TIA remains at the forefront of the aviation industry in the Western Balkans and beyond.
With almost 1,500 flights per week and a relentless focus on delivering unparalleled service, TIA is redefining the standards of excellence in the aviation industry. In an interview for Blendi Fevziu at “Opinion”, Piervittorio Farabbi Chief Operating Officer of TIA, said: "During the peak season, I think that we will have 250 flights a day, so we will have more than 1500 a week. Kastrati Group have taken up a challenge and by being themselves Albanians they consider this airport with pride as the main entry point in Albania. They are building it faster than any other airport I can think of."
TIA's exponential growth trajectory, supported by the strategic investments of Kastrati Group, is evident in its record-breaking tourist arrivals. In 2023, TIA shattered records by welcoming 7.2 million passengers, a testament to its growing appeal as a tourist destination and transit hub. Building on this momentum, TIA is on track to surpass 9.3 million passengers in 2024, reaffirming its status as a premier aviation destination in the Balkans.
