Tirana Seemed Right Place for Summit of December 6; Michel

President of the European Council, Charles Michel responded to media interest why Tirana was chosen for Summit of December 6, emphasizing that it was the right place, while he congratulated Prime Minister Rama and the Albanian government for organizing such a magnificent event in such a short time.

This statement was made at the joint conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama and the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen. 

Meanwhile, Von der Leyen emphasized that Albania has received 85 million euros in direct support for energy, and several projects are being financed, including three large photovoltaic parks. 

"Because a few weeks ago it was proposed to hold this Summit here, and before we decided, Tirana seemed like the right place. I thank you Prime Minister, it was very impressive, in such a short time you did such a big thing. Not only was it good for Albania, but we have a clear signal that we convey to the citizens of the Western Balkans, we are convinced that our future is common", stated Charles.
