Tirane, Police Arrests Two Thieves

Two persons previously convicted for murder and theft have been handcuffed by Tirana police, in the framework of the "Alliasi" operation, as they are accused of the criminal offenses "False report" and "Failure to report a crime".

Law enforcement said that the arrested are citizens with the initials “A. K., 47 years old, resident in Tirana and F. L., 48 years old, resident in Tirana, both previously convicted for murder and theft ”.

According to the police, it was the citizen A. K. who had made a false report in the Police Commissariat no. 4, that they had stolen his vehicle, which was found abandoned on the side of the road in Peqin, Elbasan.

But from the investigative actions it has resulted that “these two citizens had gone to steal in an apartment in Peqin and when they saw the Police services at the checkpoint, while they were also in violation of the curfew, they abandoned the vehicle in order to hide of illegal items they had in the vehicle, which they would use to commit theft”.

Citizen A. K., in 1997, in cooperation with another citizen, killed with a firearm, a citizen, in the area of ??Laç and for this he served 18 years in prison, while citizen F. L. has served 16 years in prison in Italy, for murder.

These citizens, after serving a sentence of two years in prison in Switzerland, for theft, from 2018 to 2020, were deported from Switzerland and returned to Albania.

The investigation shows that these two citizens, together with another citizen who is currently in England, were carrying out criminal activity in the field of theft in Italy and Switzerland, in the form of a criminal group, informed Tirana Police.

In cooperation with the Prosecution, the investigative work continues for the full disclosure of the criminal activity of these persons.
