Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi has conducted a virtual conversation with Prime Minister Edi Rama.

It was Varhelyi who announced the meeting through a message on Twitter.

Varhelyi stressed in his message that they expect Albania to progress on the road to the European Union.

"A virtual ‘visit’ of Prime Minister Edi Rama to EU: Discussed the ongoing work to finalise Negotiating Frameworks, support in fight against COVID-19 as well as preparations for Sofia summit next week. Looking forward to Albania advancing on EU path," Varhelyi said.
