Works Start for Construction of New Tirana-Durrës Railway
Prime Minister Edi Rama has given this Tuesday the news that the construction of the new Tirana-Durrës railway has started. Rama writes that the work started with the removal of the old rails.

In the first meeting since the beginning of the work of the new government, on October 23, the National Council of the Territory approved the construction permit for the Tirana-Durrës railway line.
The Tirana-Durrës railway line and its new connection with Rinas will be implemented by the company INC spa, which was declared the winner a year ago, while the contracting authority remains the Albanian Railway. The total cost of the project is 92.1 million euros, of which 35.5 million euros grant is covered by the Western Balkans Investment Framework and 36.9 million euros is covered by the EBRD loan, while the rest will be financed by the Albanian government.
