Residents of the neighborhood "5 Maji" in Tirana whose houses are being demolished by the reconstruction project have filed a report at SPAK this Friday. They accuse Prime Minister Edi Rama, Mayor Erion Veliaj and other government ministers of ordering the demolition in violation of the law. 

The deputy mayor of Tirana Arbjan Mazniku said that this lawsuit will not change anything. Considering the demands of the residents illogical, Mazniku said they are being used politically. 

"The municipality does not cause problems for anyone. Every legal procedure has been followed by the government. Every necessary step has been taken to inform the citizens. Everything is being done to protect their interest. Residents should not fall prey to political use by actors who want to use it as cannon fodder. Rama and Veliaj are doing what is possible for the citizens to get the best possible," said the deputy mayor.
