Tourism Minister Mirela Kumbaro

Applications for Management of Beach Stations Opened

As it was announced, on November 15 the application for the management of the beach stations for 2025 was opened.

The announcement was made on Friday by the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro, emphasizing that the innovation will be the application only to the accommodation structures located on the first line of the beach or nearby.

"The online system is opened in e-Albania for the management of beach stations for entities with accommodation structures near the beaches, according to the defined legal criteria. After a long work with the staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the National Coastal Agency, and the municipalities, we also brought legal improvements that guarantee the doubling of public spaces and their distribution throughout the coastline. This year comes with a big change, where only hotel structures can temporarily manage beach areas," said Kumbaro, adding that the system will remain accessible for 30 days to guarantee an equal and transparent process.

The application process will be carried out by the new regulation "On the conditions and criteria for exercising the activity as a beach resort".

All interested entities can complete their application on the e-Albania portal by requesting the service "Application for exercising the activity of a beach station".

Beach maps were approved at the beginning of November during the meeting of the Tourist Season Management Committee, where Minister Kumbaro estimated that with the new regulation, about 675 beach areas would be released.

She emphasized the role of municipalities on the ground as administrators of public beach areas, with a focus on cleanliness.
