The Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja has stated that the fight against corruption is a priority in the fight against corruption.
In his speech at an event organized for corruption in the judiciary, Manja stated that so far 15 criminal charges have been filed by the anti-corruption unit and have required disciplinary investigation for over 100 officials.
"Through complaints received by the anti-corruption directorate, we have shed light on many abusive cases. Thanks to this investigative work, we have sent more than 15 criminal reports and have requested a disciplinary investigation of over 100 officials. These investigated cases will be treated with due diligence by the new justice institutions. We have identified hotspots where abusive phenomena occur.
We have identified that behind a denunciation lies the procrastination of services for citizens. We have noticed the negligence of the authorities. All these have enabled us today to exercise vigilance and assess the level of risk for the spectrum of activity of institutions where the level of corruption is high. We think that today more than ever the prevention of corruption is the keyword of our work", said among others the Minister of Justice.
