130 Additional Romanian Troops Joined KFOR in Kosovo
NATO has announced that 130 Romanian troops have arrived in Kosovo, within the framework of KFOR mission.
Days ago, KFOR in Kosovo was reinforced with 200 British soldiers.
The North Atlantic Alliance said on September 29 that it will increase its presence in Kosovo, through KFOR, after the increase in tensions in the north of Kosovo.
Then he did not specify the exact number of troops he will send to Kosovo.
NATO's decision comes after the escalation of the situation in the north of Kosovo on September 24.
On that day, the Kosovo Police was attacked in Banjska in Zveçan by an armed group and as a result Sergeant Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
Three attackers were also killed in the exchange of fire in Banjska.
Kosovo has blamed Serbia for this attack, and has presented evidence that, according to it, proves this claim, but Serbia has rejected them.
The responsibility for the attack was taken by the former vice-president of the Serbian List, Millan Radoiçiqi, who has given up all party functions.
The police have confiscated his properties in Kosovo and demand his extradition from Serbia.
In Serbia, he was interrogated days ago and was released within 24 hours.
The NATO mission in Kosovo acts in accordance with Resolution 1244 of the United Nations Security Council to guarantee security in this country.
Until now, there have been about 4,500 soldiers in Kosovo of various nationalities, REL reported.
