The Union of Albanian Journalists’ Association has welcomed President, Ilir Meta's decision to return to Parliament two laws on the so-called 'anti-defamation package'.

The Albanian Journalists’ Association says this package has long been rejected by journalists as well as by the most prestigious international organizations and that the decision of the Head of State confirms the fairness of the organization's position in this cause in defense of freedom of speech.

“The Albanian Journalists’ Association welcomes the decision of the President of the Republic, Ilir Meta, for the return to Parliament of the so-called "Anti-defamation" package, which was long rejected by other journalistic organizations within the country, as well as by the most prestigious international organizations.
