A Journey Through the Mediterranean: 'Mediterranea' Exhibition at GOCAT Gallery
'Mediterranea – Visions of an Ancient and Complex Sea" is the latest exhibition that opened this Wednesday at the Contemporary Art Gallery Tirana, a space created by Mane Foundation, which offers opportunities for the development of art at no cost to artists and free of charge for the public.
This multidimensional exhibition is a collaboration between Mane Foundation and the Italian Institute of Culture and aims to reflect the history, beauty, and myths of the Mediterranean through a fusion of images taken by space agencies and ancient works of art.
At the opening ceremony, alongside art enthusiasts, Samir Mane, the founder of Mane Foundation, and the Ambassador of Italy to Albania, Marco Alberti, were present.



Samir Mane described Contemporary Art Gallery Tirana as a space where art and culture can thrive without limitations, offering opportunities for those who wish to promote values through quality art. He emphasized Mane Foundation's mission to support artists in showcasing their works, making it possible for this gallery to operate.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Marco Alberti, in his speech, highlighted the contribution of Mane Foundation and Contemporary Art Gallery Tirana in the development and enrichment of cultural life in Albania. The Ambassador thanked the President of Mane Foundation, Samir Mane, for his commitment to art and for the opportunity that GOCAT Gallery offers.
"Mediterranea" exhibition, which will remain open to the public for free until March 31 at Contemporary Art Gallery Tirana, is an exceptional opportunity to explore not only the history and mythology of the Mediterranean but also the deep and rich connections that this region has helped create in forming a shared and rich cultural identity. This artistic journey, enriched with images and artworks, reveals the unity and cultural heritage of the region.
Before opening in Tirana, "Mediterranea" was showcased in Valencia and has traveled across the Mediterranean. The Albanian capital is the final stop before the exhibition returns to Rome.
