Minimum Wage Increases to ALL 30.000

National Labor Council has decided during this Friday’s meeting to approve minimum wage in Albania to ALL 30.000 from ALL 26.000 that it has been up to now.

In the Council’s meeting was also present the Minister of Finance and Economy Anila Denaj, who assessed that the Government has made continuous efforts to further develop and promote the culture of social dialogue.

“The minimum basic salary at national level, mandatory to be implemented by every legal or natural person, native or foreign, is proposed to be 30,000 ALL per month from 26,000 ALL per month that is set by DCM no. 809 dated 26.12. 2018, increasing by 15.4%”, said the Minister.

Afterwards, discussions focused on briefing from the Ministry of Finance and Economy on measures taken by the government to provide financial support to employers and employees during the period caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Then, took place the briefing by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection on measures for the protection of citizens' health and information from the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth on the measures taken to ensure physical distance between students for the new school year.

During this meeting, Minister Denaj paid attention to the implementation of labor legislation, especially for working and holiday time.
