Albania Recorded This Year Lowest No. of Murders; PM Rama
Prime Minister Edi Rama, spoke about the criminal situation, claiming this year Albania registered the lowest number of murders in 32 years of democracy.
While admitting that crimes happen in the country, he emphasized that in Albania this year we had the lowest number of murders in 32 years.
"Albania really has murders, but today Albania this year has the lowest number of murders in 32 years. In these years, the average homicide is half of the homicides of the last few years before we took office. I understand very well that the bad is quickly forgotten, the good has no end. We have a lot to do because we have increased opportunities, we have increased the economy and wages, but others also grow and do not stay in place.
Prime Minister admitted that they (the majority) also made mistakes, but to compare Albania today with that of a few years ago means that you are either totally blinded by hatred, or you are totally unwilling to understand the truth. Today, Albania has no comparison with yesterday, Rama emphasized", stated Rama.
Albania has registered this year 39 murders, out of which 13 have been of mafia style as only two of them have perpetrators identified. 7 of these murders have been committed within families, while 19 others have been committed due to instant conflict or trivial reasons.
