Son Convicted for ‘Trafficking in Adults’, Tirana Prosecution Seizes the Father’s Unjustified Assets
The assets of citizen Adriatik Gjineci, consisting of one apartment and two vehicles have been seized, at the request of Tirana Prosecution Office. Gineci is linked to citizen Ismail Gjineci, who is the subject of a property investigation under the law 'On preventing and fighting organized crime'."
Investigations into property proceedings no. 81 of the year 2020 concerning the son, Ismail convicted and arrested for the criminal offense of 'Trafficking in adult Persons' as stipulated under Article 110/a/2 of the Criminal Code — have raised suspicions that the assets acquired by him or his family members do not align with their lawful income.
This citizen, in complicity with other people, recruited young women for prostitution in Italy. After investigative actions, in 2015, the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes in Tirana, has ordered the security measure of ‘Remand in Custody’
Investigations into people connected to him revealed that his father, with a negative bank balance, cannot justify the purchase of an apartment and two vehicles with his income. These real estate assets are suspected to have been acquired by his son, I.Gj. ’s involvement in the criminal activity of ‘Trafficking in adult persons’
In light of the above, Tirana Prosecution Office has requested the seizure of the following assets under A.Gj.'s name:
1. Apartment No. 3, with an area of 117.78 m², in the ‘SANDY’ Complex, Tirana;
2. A ‘Renault Scenic’ vehicle; and
3. A ‘Lancia Musa’
