Albania Takes 75 mln Euro Lohan to Treat the Polluted Water that Flows into Vjosa

Albania will treat the polluted water for the municipalities that are wetted by the river Vjosa. Minister of Tourism, Mirela Kumbaro informed at the end of the meeting of the Council of Ministers that to realized that, Albania signed an agreement with the International Bank for Development and Reconstruction.

According to Kumbaro, there are 480 km of water line that, due to human activity, polluted water flows into the Vjosa river.

Kumbaro clarified that the agreement will also be ratified in the parliament.

"I want to share with you an important decision, after they approved a loan agreement with the World Bank, with the International Bank for Development and Reconstruction for 75 million euros for the treatment of polluted water for the municipalities that are wetted by the Vjosa river. There are 480 kilometers of line waterways, because of human activity, polluted water flows into the Vjosa River. This investment will be managed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Water and Sewerage Agencies. The agreement will also be ratified in parliament," said Kumbaro.
