Albania to Regulate Cannabis Cultivation with Special Law

Albanian Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi has announced Friday that the government will draft a special strict law that will define the rules for how cannabis will be planted for medical purposes, the where and how to obtain the license.

In a statement to the media after the government meeting, Çuçi stressed that discipline by law will be strict and will not have to do with space for any corner that will be planted illegally.

“The cultivation of cannabis for medical and industrial purposes has nothing to do with illegal cultivation.

In order to legalize planting, cultivation for medical and industrial purposes will be done with a special law and this law will define very strict rules for the way it will be planted, for the way the license is obtained to plant the places where it will be planted and the cooperation with other OECD”, proclaimed the Minister.
