Albanian Stabbed Nearly to Death in Rome
A 27-year-old Albanian citizen was stabbed in the back on Friday morning, around 13:30 in Rome. He was transported to San Camillo Hospital, where he is in serious condition, after receiving one stabbing in the shoulder and another in the abdomen.
Italian media have reported that the young man was injured after a dispute with two other young people between Magazzini Generali Street and Gazometro Street. The victim tried to escape from the aggressors, but after 150 meters he collapsed to the ground near a bar on Ostiense Street amid a pool of blood.
The event took place in the presence of dozens of passers-by and there were many phone calls to 112 and 118 services, which transported the young man to the hospital. In the aftermath on the stabbing, the Carabinieri are investigating and looking for the two perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the Police have taken the testimony of another Albanian, a friend of the victim, who was with the 26-year-old when he was injured. The young man, who allegedly left before help arrived, was later found by police and was questioned.
The witness, as it is learned, lived in the building where the injury occurred, before which there had been a previous quarrel between the victim and his two assailants.
