American Ambassador Yuri Kim met this Friday with the head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta. 

The US Embassy announces that this meeting is part of other meetings with Albanian political leaders. During the meeting, Kim stressed the need for political parties to join in dialogue to strengthen democracy. 

"United States Ambassador Yuri Kim met today with the Chairman of the Freedom Party, as part of her ongoing meetings with Albanian political leaders. She reiterated the need for political parties to unite to engage in constructive dialogue that strengthens democracy, fights corruption and advances Albania's negotiations for full EU membership," the embassy announced.
