The roads in Vlora were flooded as heavy rainstorm hits Albania this Friday evening.

Heavy flooding and landslides in this city have forced the evacuation of at least 22 families in risk of life after rainstorm.

The mayor of the city, Ermal Dredha, said that the situation was under control and three people were rescued after getting blocked.

"We have evacuated 22 families so far. We will make dormitories at the former medical school available for them. We will send all the evacuees there. For any problem, contact the emergency numbers", urged Dredha. 

The bad weather is expected to continue until midnight, while there will be a slight improvement on Saturday. While rain is expected to resume on Sunday.
