Bardhi Slams PM over Refuse to Increase Pensions

The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi reacted against the speech of Premier, Edi Rama, who promised to increase the end-of-year bonus for the elderlies.

According to him, this only a technique in order to grab their votes ahead of the elections.

"There are no surprises, he came and talked to himself, applauded himself. With pensioners, he thinks he will deceive them by allocating a minimum budget to give them what is called a year-end bonus. It is a reward that every European country gives as a sign of solidarity. The gentleman does it once every four years when elections near," he said.

According to Bardhi, in nearby countries the pension is EUR 450, while in Albania the average is 183 EUR.
