Supply system has been set up to provide 68.792 Berat residents and 1340 Velabisht families with 24/7 drinking water in 2021, announced Friday Prime Minister Edi Rama.

All this has been enabled via 81 kilometers of internal system network along with a 13 kilometers long primary and secondary line, as far as the Premier is concerned. He also warned the works for the establishment of a waters’ biological treatment plant in Berat.

“Berat water supply and sewerage system, from a highly depreciated 1970s network is transformed into 81 kilometers of new internal water supply and sewerage network with 13 kilometers of main and secondary line and house connections, to provide drinking water service in 2021 24 hours with quality and according to the standards monitored by the modern SCADA system”, said the Head of Government among other things.
