Berisha Excludes Possibility of Creating New Party
Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha categorically rules out the creation of a new political force. In an interview for the Voice of America, Berisha says that the Democratic Party needs a re-establishment.
"The Assembly of the 11th, convenes in full compliance with the statutory norms. The DP statute provides for the right of 1/4 DP delegates to convene the Assembly. 4200 signatures have been submitted, but now they are going to 5 thousand signatures so that the Assembly has not only the necessary signatures, but also the majority. Now the achievement of the majority terrifies Mr. Basha. Basha knows that he lost, that is why he chose to deny the signatures," Berisha said.
Among other things, he is convinced that the assembly convened by him and his supporters on December 11 will mark a re-establishment of this party, which he intends to lead again.
