Meta Denies Accuses in the Court, Urges to Be Released

The Chairman of the Liberation Party, Ilir Meta, appeared to the Special Court this Tuesday in support of his request for the security measure given for him by the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK).

He denied every accuse of SPAK, saying that he had nothing to do with the expenses done by his former wife, Monika Kryemadhi and his mother.

Meta said that he had no intention to leave country and SPAK should remove 'Arrest in Prison'.

At the end of a long speech, Meta said that he should be let go and the pre-judicial behavior so far (by the SPAK and the Police) must end and this process of investigation and trial must be placed on the tracks of the regular legal process in respect of the principle of presumption of innocence.
