The Council of Ministers has approved the construction of two photovoltaic power plants in Fier and Kolonja. Thus, the government approved the construction of a photovoltaic power plant and auxiliary works, which is not subject to concession and does not benefit from support measures, in the village of Povelçë, Dërmenas, Fier municipality, by the company “EZ-5 Energy”.

The plant will have an installed capacity of 30MW and the expected deadline for commissioning and obtaining a construction permit is within 36 months. The plant’s operating period is 49 years.

The company “EZ-5 Energy” is obliged to periodically submit, every three months, to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy and the National Agency for Natural Resources, information on the progress of the construction of the photovoltaic power plant, as well as to respect the conditions, licenses and prior environmental authorizations, issued by the responsible national institutions.

The government also approved the construction of the photovoltaic power plant and auxiliary works, which is not subject to a concession and does not benefit from support measures, in the village of Rehova, Kolonja municipality, Korça district, by the company “Get Solar Solution”.

The installed capacity of the plant will be 24 MW and the time for construction, provision with the construction permit, and commissioning of the photovoltaic plant will be within 36 months from the entry into force of this decision.
