National Council of the Democratic Party (DP) has as of this Sunday one more businessman as part of its composition. Blendi Sulaj will be one of the 300 new members of the Council, while his name was revealed through the list published earlier today.

Sulaj is not an unknown name to the public opinion. In the general elections of April 25, 2021, he was a Member of Parliament candidate in Tirana District and is widely known as a businessman operating in the capital.

However, this move came one day after the leader of the Democrats Lulzim Basha, but also the chairman of the Election Commission of the Democratic Party, Jemin Gjana, said that in the new council, out of 300 members, 90 will be ladies and gentlemen and 45 young people, who have mainly come from party youth forums.
