Celibashi Claims That CEC Application Is Attacked
The head of the Central Election Commission, (CEC), Ilirjan Celibashi, while informing about the current situation of the voting process, claimed that the application of this institution has been attacked.
In a press release, Celibashi said there have been sporadic cases of temporary suspension of voting, while adding that 144 polling stations are following the identification manually.
"There are 144 polling stations where identification is being done manually. From this final information, 83 polling stations are doing this process because the operators have not appeared.
There were problems with the device. In some cases, they have not waited enough to receive proper advice from the CEC. There are sporadic cases of temporary suspension of voting either for issues of electronic identification, conflicts or absence of members of polling stations.
We have been informed that in ‘Betim Muço’ school there was a gathering of people inside, even though it is not allowed, except for those who vote. We have sent CEC inspectors and the situation there has been clarified. Regarding the turnout percentage, I want to clarify that the CEC application was attacked a little earlier, but work is being done to resolve the situation," said Celibashi.
