The National Food Authority blocked a huge amount of frozen chicken meat, imported from Brasil after resulted infected with Salmonella. 

The amount seized was 18 tonnes and it was identified at Durresi Port.

It entered Albania on March 11, while the other part more than 13 tonnes was sold in the marked and consumed.

According to the National Food Authority the company 'DiMal' that distributed the meat in the marked, did not make any transparence and so far, 5.2 tonnes were blocked while 13 sold in the market.
