Coronavirus: Greece Extends Travel Restrictions with Albania
Covid-19 pandemic forced Greece to postpone the restrictive travel measures with Albania once again. Greek Ministry of Civil Protection announced on Friday that the restrictions will remain in force until January 21, as part of the measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The border between Greece and Albania will continue to be considered closed, and as a result, no connection is allowed with tactical lines either land or sea.
Restrictive MEASURES
-Buses, cars with Albanian license plates and boats are banned from entering Greece.
-The air connection is made only between the airport Mother Theresa and El. Venizelos.
-Albanian citizens who want to come to Greece for tourist or visiting reasons are not allowed to enter Greece. Persons with Albanian passports or those with 90 days visa are prohibited.
-Only persons with a residence permit or Greek citizenship are allowed to enter Greece. For all persons who will enter Greece, regardless of citizenship or means of travel (plane, bus, car, etc.) must complete 24-48 hours before arrival in Greece, the PLF Form.
-For all persons who will enter Greece, regardless of citizenship or vehicle traveling it is necessary to submit a negative RT-PCR Test which must be done up to 72 hours before departure for Greece.
-For all persons who will enter Greece from Albania, regardless of citizenship or the vehicle they travel in, they must make a 7-day quarantine at their home.
-The border points will work every day from 7.00 to 23.00. 750 people per day will be allowed to cross through Kakavija border crossing point. Kapshtica will be closed.
-All passengers traveling outside Greece must also complete the PLF 24 hours before the trip.
