Direct Flight Line Amsterdam-Tirana Twice a Week
Tirana International Airport (TIA) said that starting on March 6, 2024, the first flight to and from Amsterdam, the Netherlands, took off.
The direct line is being operated by the company "Transavia", with a frequency of two times a week, and carries out flights from Tirana to Amsterdam. Those interested can book tickets on Transavia's website, TIA announces.
In 2023, Tirana International Airport welcomed new airlines such as Jazeera and Ryanair and introduced destinations such as Naples, Brindisi, Trieste, Lamezia Terme, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Comiso, Edinburgh, Manchester, Bucharest, Kuwait, Dammam, Stockholm Arlanda, Dusseldorf Weeze, Prague, Warsaw Modlin and Rome Ciampino.
New direct lines also flew through TIA, including "Iberia", "Flyone" and "Tailwind", further diversifying the airline's portfolio.
In addition, in 2023 the airport introduced new charter destinations such as Brno, Bilbao, Sarajevo, Lisbon, Porto, Chisinau, Riga, Bratislava, and Warsaw Radom.
Furthermore, German low-cost airline Eurowings has started operating direct flights from the Albanian capital Tirana to the German city of Cologne, the operator of Tirana airport, TIA, said on Thursday.
In March, the service is being operated once a week, but in April the frequency will increase to twice a week, TIA said in a social media post. Eurowings is a wholly-owned subsidiary of German flag carrier Lufthansa.
