Director of Seismic Institute Warns Magnitude 6.3 Earthquake in Kosovo

The director of the Seismic Institute, Shemsi Mustafa, stated that in the future Kosovo could be hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale.

He has shown that during the last week, Kosovo has been hit by 7-8 earthquakes, with different magnitudes.

"This shows that in the past but even now Kosovo can be hit with a magnitude of 6.3 on the Richter scale, the concern of citizens has been created because everyone knows that a decade after the war there have been some constructions carried out wildly, without respecting the construction criterion", he said on KTV.

Slight tremors were felt in Kosovo on Sunday, with the epicenter 10 km south of Viti. The quake was felt in some surrounding areas.
