Dozens of citizens protested this Friday at Tirana Municipality urging for resignation of the Mayor, Erion Veliaj, after the arrest of his main collaborators due to the 5D case.

With the calls 'Liar', 'Thieves', etc, the protesters said that Veliaj should resign as his directors stole all the tenders of this institution.

"Today, this municipality is closed and does not serve to the citizens. They are open only to steal your money. They are closed for business but open to collect taxes and impose fines. They are closed to ordinary people but open to dealing with incinerators and 5D. We are stolen, we are not blind. The truth is that the 30 million euros stolen by Erion Veliaj and his gang," siad the member of the municipality council, Dorjan Teliti.
