Israeli flag carrier EL AL will start operating a direct service connecting Tel Aviv to Albania's capital Tirana on April 2, Albanian infrastructure minister Belinda Balluku said on Tuesday.

The inaugural flight will bring to Tirana personalities from the tourism and showbiz sectors, with a focus on promoting Albania as a tourism destination, Balluku said in a Facebook post.

The new service will be operated seven days a week, according to EL AL's flight schedule.
