Escaped Assassination, Two Fushë-Kruja Men’s Statement Revealed
Other details from the assassination attempt that took place last night in Larushk village, near Nikla in Fushë-Krujë, have come to light Monday, after Gentjan Bejtja and Klodian Stafuka appeared at the Trauma Hospital with injuries.
Based on the available information, the incident happened near a gas station, while the two of them were moving by car, at the moment they were shot, but the gas station cameras have not fixed anything that could serve the investigation.
Fortunately, none of them have been injured by the bullets. Bejtja was injured in the arm, but the wound is not from the bullet but from the glass.
In front of the investigative body, they have stated that they have not seen the perpetrators. "We have an idea who might have shot us", they are said to have testified.
Also, the men stated that they were suddenly under fire and lost control of the vehicle, ending up on the side of the road.
On their part, the officers found 10 cartridges at the scene and several people have been accompanied to the police, but there is no result from their statements to reveal the perpetrators.
However, Gentjan Bejtja is not unknown to the police. In 2016, he escaped an assassination attempt with car explosives.
Bejtja's name is also related to the event of 2013, where he was accused together with Enver Stafuka of stealing the car used in the murder of Chief Commissioner Dritan Lamaj.
