Fier Prosecution Takes 10 People to Court for Production and Sale of Narcotics

Fier Prosecutor's Office finalized its preliminary investigations and submitted to court the criminal case no. 1300 of 2023, involving 10 defendants: A.B., D.D., E.K., G.Ç., G.C., K.B., K.Ç., N.Ll., K.Q., and Xh.R. for the criminal offense of "Production and Sale of Narcotics," committed in complicity and more than once, as provided for in Article 283, paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code.

This criminal case was initiated after a referral from Fier Local Police Directorate indicating that several individuals were involved in the illegal sale, purchase, and distribution of narcotic substances within Fier Municipality.

Thorough and proactive investigations, conducted in close cooperation with the Fier Local Police Directorate, including wiretapping, surveillance in public areas, house and premises searches, seizures, forensic inspections, and interrogations, substantiated that all the defendants had repeatedly been engaged in the sale of narcotics, specifically cocaine, heroin, and cannabis sativa.

As part of the ongoing proactive investigations, the Prosecutor's Office requested Fier District Court for the imposition of the security measure of "Remand in Custody" against these ten individuals involved. Additionally, with regard to other potential individuals or facts connected to this criminal activity, the case has been split for further investigation.

Fier Prosecutor's Office is committed to the thorough investigation and legal accountability of those engaged in criminal offenses related to narcotics trafficking.
