Floods caused by heavy rains have brought power outages in some neighbourhoods of Tirana. Due to bad weather, the Distribution System Operator has disconnected three feeder lines at the request of the police as a security measure. 

The DSO informs that the electricity supply is limited in the areas of “Bajram Curri” Boulevard, “Zhan Dark”, Kavaja street, “Myslym Shyri” street, etc. 

"At the request of the Police (operating room), due to the overflow of the Lana River, the DSO disconnected 3 feeders, as a security measure. 

These lines partially supply the areas of “Bajram Curri” Boulevard, “Zhan Dark”, Kavaja street, “Myslym Shyri” street, etc. 

After field verifications for the presence of water in the cabins, the DSO teams returned electricity after 25 minutes for 2 feeders. 

We are currently gradually energizing the affected areas from the security measure until the full recovery of energy in all areas," it is stated in the announcement.
