The former mayor of Fushe Arrez Fran Tuci, was released from prison this Thursday.

He was arrested along with two other collaborators Durim Margjekaj and Ndoc Marku, for duty abuse.

Tuci ended his prison term of 1 year and 6 months of jail with the days spent while he was in custody.

The court accepted today the request of his lawyers to release him. 

According to the prosecution, Fran Tuci has deforested a large area in the municipality he directed, building a road segment, for which he himself says he was asked by the citizens of the area.
