The former President of the USA, Bill Clinton, landed in Tirana at Rinas airport, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Edi Rama. 

Rama has published on social media the first photo with the former president, highlighting that he is a 'friend of Albanian Nation'. 

"With President Bill Clinton, the lifelong friend of the Albanian nation, who just set foot in Albania for the first time", writes Rama.

The visit of Clinton and his delegation to Tirana is part of a diplomatic visit at the invitation of the Albanian government. 

Clinton, who is the former 44th President of the United States, will receive the "Star of Appreciation for Public Achievement" decoration. 

It is also learned that the official ceremony of his reception will take place at 19:00.
