Head of the Muslim Community of Albania (MCA), Bujar Spahiu has called this Friday on Albanians to stay in their homeland and not immigrate abroad, arguing that aging has plagued the country. 

This appeal by Spahiu has come at a time when Muslim believers everywhere in the world celebrate today one of their most important holidays, Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, where believers have been fasting for 30 days in a row. 

In Tirana, the prayer was performed in Skënderbej square, while the head of the MCA in his speech called for being as human as possible. 

"Dear fasters, 

The morning of this day is the most beautiful and meaningful for all of us. 

We have Eid and this brings us to the most beautiful day of the week, Eid and Friday. 

We have experienced a month of sacrifice and spiritual upliftment, we pray to God to have accepted this sacrifice, He is the best rewarder. 

This month has united us in charity and solidarity, in peace and love with each other. 

Today's man has longed for this world, for wealth and power, forgetting the divine and the human. In the Lord of the universe, neither one nor the other is useful unless it is piety. 

This world does not belong to anyone, no one has owned it and will never own it. 

Dear sisters and brothers 

Ramadan is the most intimate worship of man, so God has rated the reward for it very great. 

Ramadan is not just about giving up eating and drinking. Ramadan is giving up vices, backbiting, gossiping, giving up useless work. Just as we remove a dirty garment from the body to wash it, the believer also hopes to have come out today, clean of sins, forgiven and merciful by God. 

The challenge begins today for each of us. 
Let's continue life with the virtues we have gained in this prosperous month. 

Ramadan teaches us to become a servant of goodness and justice. 

It should be the foundational virtue of our daily activity. 

Dear citizens, virtue is not fantasy. 

Nowadays they probably tell them so, but remember that those who tell them are insincere. 

They deliberately want to suggest and push you towards false maxims, which sooner or later will cause harm to yourself. 

Create a fair and honest relationship with virtue, let it be the guide of your life. The more virtuous people are, the more evil and its servants will be discouraged. 

Prophet Muhammad orders us to remove evil from our midst in three ways - to remove it with our hands, and if we cannot with our hands, remove it with words, and if we cannot with words, remove it with our heart, but this is weaker than the first two. 

The foundation of the age is justice. 

Sisters and brothers, 

see to it that our Nation grows through virtue! 

Each one of us has a duty to contribute to curb the impoverishment of the nation. We are decreasing day by day. We, who have been one of the youngest peoples in Europe, are aging at a very fast pace. 

Why should we choose the easy way out, leaving the country, instead of staying here and strengthening our nation. 

Let's give birth to children here, raise them here in our country as virtuous and first-rate citizens instead of taking them around the world as second-rate citizens! 

The family is the core of any society. Strengthen it as we have our great tradition. 

God has blessed our country with all the good things, let us see it as a trust that we must keep as it is a trust to be protected. 

I believe that with God's help we will succeed in making Albania better, for ourselves and for our children", declared Spahiu among other things.
