Balla Discusses Fight against Crime with Canadian Ambassador

The Minister of the Interior Taulant Balla received in a meeting the ambassador of Canada, Elisa Goldberg, with whom he discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the governments of both countries. 

In this meeting, a number of issues were discussed, but the emphasis of the conversation was in the field of public safety, the fight against crime and trafficking, especially the trafficking of narcotics. 

In a post on social networks, Minister Balla said that "We value the cooperation so far with Canadian law enforcement agencies and are ready to cooperate in joint investigations." 

The Canadian ambassador also posted a news about the meeting on her profile, underlining the diversity of issues addressed at the meeting, noting the common commitments to fight against gender-based violence. 

Goldberg also spoke about strengthening cooperation in the field of security and police as well as the management of migratory flows.
