The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, visited the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, the two Swiss tourists who were rescued after a coordinated action by several state structures of Albania and Kosovo, trapped by snow in a difficult area of Mount Korabi. 

Through a reaction on social networks, Balla thanked the KFOR officers who carried out the helicopter transport from a difficult mountain point in the Doda Castle area. 

 "As in the home and in the Albanian's family. The rescue of two Swiss tourists, stranded on Mount Korabi, one of whom had damaged his lower limbs due to an avalanche, has been successfully completed. 

Thanks to the forces of the State Police, the Kosovo Police, the Kosovo Mountaineering Federation, the Ministry of Defence and KFOR, without whose commitment this difficult rescue operation would not have been possible", writes Balla. 

In the search and rescue operation, forces of the order police, border police, residents of the area of the administrative unit Kala e Doda were also engaged.
