Montenegro's Milatovic to Meet Vucic in Belgrade

Newly elected President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, said that on May 30 he will meet with high officials in Brussels, in his first official visit since taking office, and that he will visit Belgrade very soon. 

Montenegro's Head of State said he received an invitation from Aleksandar Vucic, when the latter attended his inauguration. 

Furthermore, he announced a meeting on May 30 with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the European Union, Joseph Borell, and the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Oliver Varhelji, which aims to send a strong message that Montenegro has the political will to became part of the EU. 

"I have received numerous invitations, I have said that I think it is important and from the democratic point of view to visit Belgrade very soon, after Brussels. Serbia is our biggest economic partner and I received a verbal invitation when the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i?, was at the inauguration. 

First, I will visit Brussels and send a symbolic message that the European path of Montenegro is a priority of all priorities during my mandate. I will talk on May 30 with Borell and Varhelyi and then I will go to Moldova for the Summit of the European Political Community, where I will talk with the President of the European Commission Ursula den Leyen, but I will also hold meetings with European leaders, including French President Emmanuel Macron", said Milatovic. 

He also said that he will visit Washington very soon.
