The statue of our national hero, Gjergji Kastrioti Skënderbeu will be placed this Monday in the central park of Budapest, in front of the statue of his contemporary, the hero of Hungary, Janos Hunyadi. The installation of the bust is an initiative and a gift of the Municipality of Tirana for the city of Budapest. 

As promised by the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, the monument of Skanderbeg is placed in the capital of Hungary, as a sign of honor and remembrance for the friendship and cooperation that our hero had with Hunyadi, but also for the friendship that continues between the two peoples and the two capitals. 

"In Budapest, for the final placement of the bust of Skanderbeg in the Central Park - a gift from Tirana Municipality to the Municipality of Budapest as a sign of friendship between our two national heroes Gjergj Kastriot and Janos Huniad", writes Veliaj.
