MoU with Turkey, RNM on New Investments

The Turkish Association of Independent Industrialists and Businessmen and the Albanian Investment Corporation (AIC) signed a memorandum of cooperation, paving the way for new investment opportunities and economic cooperation between Albania and Turkey.

Minister of Economy, Culture, and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhja, stated on Friday that this partnership aims to promote strategic investments between our two countries.

Gonxhja said that this cooperation will strengthen ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries, creating new opportunities for growth and development.

Turkey was the leading foreign investor in Albania for 2024, according to the Bank of Albania.

According to the central bank, total Turkish investments in Albania at the end of 2024 marked the value of Euro 256 million, with an increase of 44% compared to the previous year.

Turkish investments extend to almost all sectors of the economy.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Albanian Investment and Development Agency (AIDA) Laura Saro, and the Director of the Foreign Investment Agency in North Macedonia, Refik Xhemaili, signed on Thursday in Tirana, a Memorandum of Understanding to promote trade and investment cooperation between the two countries.

The MoU stipulates the strengthening cooperation in the field of attracting foreign investments; trade facilitation and support for companies from both countries and the creation of mechanisms for the exchange of information and good business practices.

The Foreign Investment Agency in North Macedonia participated in Match-Maker Albania 2025, an important business event that was held on Thursday in Tirana.
