Murder Prevented at Tirana Hotel after Instant Conflict
A 30-year-old man identified as Ervin Selita has been arrested by the Tirana police after he tried to kill Zeni Xhindi, the owner of a hotel on “Tre Vëllezërit Kondi” street in the capital, with a firearm.
E. D., 30 years old, who was accompanying the young man at the time of the event, was also handcuffed while she will be investigated for not escalating the crime.
Sources suggest that Selita initially clashed with the hotel receptionist as he did not allow the girl to enter the hotel without giving her an ID card. Later, the owners were involved in the conflict, which led to the escalation in the use of firearms.
Police suggest that Erjon Mici, 26, and Xhuljano Selita, 23, have been declared wanted in connection with this event, who helped the 30-year-old to hide the weapon with which he tried to kill Xhindi.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance in Tirana, for further action.
